Why We Love This Deal

Often referred to as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires has always enjoyed close links with Europe; waves of Italian immigrants populated the port city in the 19th and 20th centuries, and much of its resplendent architecture echo trends from the other side of the Atlantic.

Calafate is the true gateway to experience the sparkling lakes, snow-capped mountains, and towering glaciers of Patagonia. It is the perfect entry point from which to explore the Los Glaciers National Park (Parque Nacional Los glaciers). Bariloche is a very popular destination on Argentinean Patagonia during winter, and it is a destination worth visiting in any period of the year.

During the trip you will visit beautiful places of the Andean foothills, bordering the southern shore of the Argentinean lake.

After crossing the Centinela and Mitre rivers, you will arrive at Brazo Rico to enter Los Glaciares, National Park. Skirting the Rico Lake, you will begin to see the icebergs floating on the water until you can finally appreciate in all its magnitude this natural wonder that has been declared by the United Nations as a World Heritage Site. Navigation of one (1) hour by the Brazo Rico, allows us to appreciate the majestic south wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. This glacier ice wall is approximately 60m high and more than 100m below the lake level.

The boat approaches about 200m from the place where the glacier touches the Magellan Peninsula and then travels along the entire length (almost 3km) of the south wall allowing you to enjoy the daily detachments and the magical beauty of its seracs, crevasses, and intense blues. This service is carried out with the Yagán boat, with a capacity of 110 passengers. The embarkation takes place at the port located in the bay “Bajo de las Sombras”, approximately 7 km before the glacier viewpoint. It is highly recommended to complete the visit to the glacier because from the walkways the south wall is not visible in all its magnificence. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
